Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to ask for your assistance by reaching out and encouraging thought leaders within your regional global network to submit to the International Symposium "Call for Science" for the 2018 meeting in Atlanta.

The Academy welcomes and encourages submissions from otolaryngologists around the world as we build on the cultural competence of our specialty overall. Over the holiday break, please consider contacting an international colleague to encourage and offer your assistance in submitting an education proposal for presentation at the AAO-HNSF 2018 Annual Meeting & OTO Experience's International Symposium track, to be held October 7-10 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Here is the link to the submission site and information on guidelines for submission. Please note that the Annual Meeting 2018 "Call for Science" site will close Wednesday, January 17th. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me via ENTConnect, by email at pstolovitzky@entnet.org, or by phone at 770-851-6311.

As we look to the international program offerings, we must remember that while we have a lot to offer to the international community, the international community has a lot to offer to us. We look forward to a robust International Symposium in Atlanta and greatly appreciate your support and assistance.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Pablo Stolovitzky, MD, Coordinator for International Affairs

SA SOCIETY ORL/H&NS - NEWSLETTER (VOL 1)

As mentioned in his address at our recent congress in Durban, our President Dr Shanil Ramjettan has decided to reintroduce our Society’s Newsletter as a way of promoting better communication within our membership. Hopefully getting this by email will make it more accessible and easier to read and thus reach a wider audience than is at present achieved by the website. We hope to make the content less educational and formal, and thus more likely to promote interaction and a sense of camaraderie and belonging in the Society. This is the first Newsletter for 2016, which will from now on come out at least twice a year after the EXCO meetings, but hopefully more regularly depending largely on the reaction from the members and their newsworthy input.
