Grants and Awards

 University grant 

A Society grant is awarded to each accredited University ENT Department annually. The grant is calculated on a proportional value that reflects the percentage of consultants in the department who are paid-up members of the Society. The university grant is intended for promotion of the academic activities of the department, that may include: 

•    Contribution towards research projects.

•    Sponsorship of consultants or registrars to attend meetings or courses.

•    Acquisition of surgical/medical equipment.

•    Improvement of workplace facilities.

 Registrars’ grant

The ENT Registrars’ Society of South Africa receives an annual grant that is deposited into the account of the Registrars’ Society.

 Registrars presenting at the official annual Society Congress

  • Registrars delivering an oral presentation or poster at the official annual Society Congress are eligible to reclaim the Congress registration fee from the Society.  

 Registrars presenting at the official annual Society Congress

  • Registrars delivering an oral presentation or poster at the official annual Society Congress are also eligible for prizes for the best presentations/posters, sponsored by the Society.  

Publications

  • University ENT Departments are eligible to claim a grant for each publication accepted by an accredited journal in the specific financial year

 ENT Masterclass

  • Designated lecturers at the ENT masterclass are eligible for reimbursement for travel and accommodation cost from the Society.
